Some of these drinks have more then 108 grams of sugar (22 teaspoons) and 240 mg of Caffeine (3 standard coffees).
Next year we are organising a study tour for South Grafton High School students to Bali and Java in Indonesia. The excursion will be for approximately 19 days from the 17th April to the 5th of May.
This excursion is open to all students at South Grafton High School. If you are interested please contact Mr Avery in the Languages staff room (B1) to collect an Expression of Interest form.
Application forms are now available
South Grafton High School English students were able to watch a live stream from Sydney Opera House in their classroom. The tyranny of distance does not allow our students to experience these notable events as their urban counterparts. The Daily Examiner has some great photos and article on this dailyexaminer.com.au
This term from 14 August to 22 September schools across NSW will be participating in the NAPLAN Online school readiness test. The school readiness test is a ‘practice run’ designed to help schools assess their technical and administrative readiness for the transition to NAPLAN Online. students in years 7 and 9 will be participating in the readiness test between Monday 11 September and Friday 15 September 2017. The readiness test will involve students in year 3, 5, 7 and 9 sitting two, 40-minute assessments, a writing test and a combined numeracy/literacy test. (Year 3 students will not participate in the writing test). Student participation in the readiness test is an opportunity for them to become familiar with the NAPLAN Online test format. It is not an assessment of student ability and there will be no reporting of student results It is important to note that participation in the school readiness test has no effect on students’ NAPLAN results from the paper-based tests students sat in May. There’s a lot more information on the department’s NAPLAN Online website
Reminder: Homework Centre in the Library runs on Wednesday afternoons from the end of Period 6 until 4:30pm. Come along, bring any homework or assessments, have a cheese toasty and some milo and get some help from the teachers that are volunteering their time to help you
